Now Thats the spirit!

A week ago, I signed up for a volunteering event that took place in a thrift store. The owners needed any help they could get their hands on to help distribute and organize the piles of clothes, kitchen equipment, furniture....etc. People came and volunteered without coming with an organization or for community service but to just help out the community. four girls in the peace club and I decided to go together and help out as much as we could. We first had to take all back plastic bags and put them on the other side so that it was easier for trucks to come and pick them up. Once we were done, we had to organize a lot of things under the same category and once we were done we went inside to the thrift shop where we had to move some of the furniture so that  a company could come and clean the floors of the shop really well. While trying to get work done inside the thrift shop, i couldnt help but wander around and look at the items that were sold in the thrift store. I actually came out with things i needed and couldn't find anywhere else and got some of my friends gifts as well. It was a great experience and just helping others in anyway makes me feel good and happy, and as simple as that you learn a lot and meet a lot of different wonderful people. I have another event i will be volunteering on this weekend! Will post the pictures as soon as possible. Hope these pictures inspire you in different ways and helps you make the right decisions and help out others as well!
