some drawings/paintings I've been working on

i started this yesterday in class while we were watching a movie about death penalties, so instead I decided to do something useful ;p Will post more pictures after Im done with this one !

I drew this a few months back, I was inspired by pictures of the 70s and really wanted to do something different!

I didnt draw or paint this one, this was a graduation gift from one of my most talented close friends!

I had the same Henna pattern on my hand, she decided to draw this for me, and write my names Hessa in arabic at the bottom. Its absolutely beautiful and goes perfectly with my room!

This is where i long to be, La isla Bonita

Im obsessed with American Apparel, i was devastated to hear that there wasn't a branch here in Tampa, but that hasn't stopped me from doing constant online shopping. These just came in today and Im so excited, so excited that I decided to buy some more stuff ;p!! 

I fell in love with this shirt but couldn't decide whether to get it in black or beige, decided to go with beige since most of my clothes are black, trying to add some color to my closet! Since I'm happiest when Im comfortable, i also decided to order some casual everyday loose shirts and gym shorts!!

London Band The XX

The xx are a Mercury Prize-winning trio formed in 2005 in London, England. The band members are Romy Madley Croft (vocals, lead guitar), Oliver Sim (vocals, bass guitar), and Jamie Smith (Jamie xx) (beats, MPC sampler). Second guitarist and keyboardist Baria Qureshi is no longer a member of the group.

Bonding over a shared love of dark, emotive 80s guitar sounds and the high-end sheen of American R&B, The xx?s unique sound befits a band whose wide range of influences combine beautiful, hushed vocal duets and a brilliantly inventive use of samples and low-end frequencies to produce stark, sweet, melancholic pop.

The group released their debut album xx on 17 August 2009. The album was recorded in a small garage and produced by the band. It garnered critical acclaim and has been generally well-received, scoring an average of 86/100 based on 24 professional reviews. Also it ranked on "best of the year" lists with Rolling Stone placing it at #9 and NME placing it at #2. CNN recently did a profile package piece on the band.

The group won the 2010 Mercury Prize for their album on 7th September 2010. The bookies' favourites for many of the weeks leading up to the announcement, they beat eleven other acts in a year that had a lot of strong albums from their fellow competitors. Sim said following their win "I don't know what we were expecting but we weren't expecting this." He went on to say "Thank you so much. We've had the most incredible year and it has just felt like every day we've just woken up to something incredible we just weren't expecting. It has felt just like a haze. Being here is like a moment of clarity in all that's happening."

You give me fever, fever in the morning fever when its late at night

Just got back home from university, thank god i only have one class today in the morning. Going to start doing my work and then heading back to university for my club meeting :)!

Wanted to share some photos i greatly adore, hope everyone's days are going they way they want them to be!

 Im in loveee with her lipstick, although you have to have the perfect shade of makeup and a specific skin color to go with this rouge! If anyone knows where i can get a color exactly like this! LET ME KNOW!
